Chrissy Kelly

I have a PhD in Canadian Studies from Carleton University and an MA in Disability Studies from the University of Manitoba. My research focuses on attendant services for people with disabilities and engages with debates between feminist perspectives on care and disability rejections of care. I am presently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Long Term Care Health Human Resources at the University of Ottawa where I am exploring the training and curriculum provided to Personal Support Workers in Ontario. I have also conducted research on Canadian disability movements and I was centrally involved in planning the 2011 Youth Activist Form, “Doing Disability Differently” at Carleton University. Outside of my research roles, I try to stay connected to disability communities in Canada through volunteer activities and other informal involvements.
